SEMH Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting a Year 5 pupil with Special Educational Needs in a 1:1 setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to the pupil, promoting their academic and personal growth.
  • Develop and implement tailored support plans to meet the pupil's unique needs.
  • Collaborate with the pupil's teachers and other professionals to ensure a cohesive and effective support system.
  • Utilize your knowledge of SEN/SEMH and pastoral care to create a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Communicate effectively with the pupil, their family, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth and supportive experience.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with SEN/SEMH.
  • Knowledge of behavioral management and additional SEN/SEMH requirements.
  • Comprehensive understanding of support and intervention programs for SEND.
  • Patience, kindness, and a nurturing mindset.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
