Job Title: Strategic Director for Shropshire and Telford


About the Role:


We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead our organisation's strategic development and delivery of our mission. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring our vision and strategy remain compelling and tackle the pressing needs identified within our communities, working closely with our Board of Trustees and staff team.


The ideal candidate will have proven experience in developing organisational strategies to achieve long-term objectives and business plans. They will also possess experience in a Senior Management/Director/CEO type role, with a track record of delivering against personal targets and objectives.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Developing and implementing our organisational strategy to achieve our mission and goals.
  • Leading and managing our staff team to deliver high levels of organisational performance.
  • Ensuring our donor development and related plans deliver our targets for donor income.
  • Positioning us as a leading authority on the needs and causes in our communities.
  • Taking accountability for ensuring our grant-making policies and processes are effective.
  • Serving as one of our primary spokespeople through various channels, promoting and raising awareness of our work.

Requirements:



  • Proven experience in senior management or leadership roles.
  • Experience of working effectively with Boards of Trustees.
  • An understanding and commitment to the voluntary sector.
  • Financial literacy and experience of managing budgets.
  • A full UK driving licence, access to a car, and ability to travel across the County.

Salary and Benefits:


The salary for this role is £40,000 - £45,000 per annum, paid pro-rata for 24 hours per week. We offer a choice of offices to work from, including Shrewsbury, Telford, or Broseley, with some hybrid working arrangements.
