We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Fitter/Engineer to join our team in Camberley.

This full-time role involves working within our Service Centre, reporting to the Team Manager of High-Speed Separators and Decanters. You will be part of a talented team of Mechanical Fitters/Balancers, responsible for disassembling and reassembling rotating mechanical equipment, including balancing critical components.

Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Fitter/Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Disassembling and reassembling gearboxes
  • Cleaning equipment using jet washing and chemical cleaning methods
  • Stripping and preparing decanters for inspection
  • Rebuilding equipment according to guidelines
  • Using technical drawings to assist in disassembly and reassembly
  • Operating overhead cranes and lifting equipment
  • Understanding Health and Safety protocols and wearing correct PPE
  • Performing welding tasks (TIG welding training provided)

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • An appropriate apprenticeship or qualification in engineering
  • Experience working with hand tools, pneumatic tools, and hydraulic tools in a workshop environment
  • The ability to interpret drawings and technical manuals with Imperial and Metric dimensions
  • Demonstrated knowledge of workshop-related disciplines and PPE/H&S requirements
  • Able to operate cranes, slings, and stacker trucks (full training provided)

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 per annum, plus:
