About the Role
The successful post holder will be responsible for ensuring that all administration related to the business of the Department is organized and completed in a timely fashion.
This includes managing the team of medical secretaries, theatre utilization of urology lists, complaints, cancer reports, rota management, and medical staff recruitment within the Department.
The post holder will have specific responsibilities for liaising with colleagues to ensure there is appropriate cover and that any problems or difficulties are dealt with promptly.

Person Specification
Essential
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of medical programs
Desirable
- Management qualifications or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of rota compliance/experience
Experience
- Experience of providing administrative support at management level
- Experience of working within the NHS and an understanding of current issues affecting the service
- Experience in working in a healthcare focused environment
