We are looking for an experienced Care Assistant Nights to join our team at Sugarman Health & Wellbeing. As a Care Assistant, you will provide direct care to individuals with autism and complex needs, promoting independence and supporting them to achieve their goals.
Job Description:
This role involves supporting a female with autism who uses Makaton and visuals. She may display behaviours that challenge and signs of anxiety and distress when she feels misunderstood.
The individual requires support to meet her needs, including maintaining her own home, promoting independence, and attending health appointments.
You will need to provide clear and effective communication using Makaton and positive behaviour support techniques.
Encourage the individual's interests and hobbies, such as dancing, baking, water play, trampolining, and walking.
Assist the individual in caring for her guinea pig.
