Culinary Care Provider Wanted

Cygnet Health Care is seeking a skilled Culinary Care Provider to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality food services to our patients, while promoting a culture of care and compassion.

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, including alternative weekends. We offer an estimated salary of £25,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Role:

As a member of our culinary team, you will be expected to prepare, cook, and serve nutritious meals that meet the dietary needs of our patients. You will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen, service areas, and dining room, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and Food Hygiene Regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook, and serve healthy meals that cater to individual patient needs
  • Collaborate with nursing colleagues to develop meal plans and meet patient nutritional needs
  • Conduct regular kitchen audits to ensure cleanliness and compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes
  • Train staff on food handling and preparation techniques

Requirements:

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Food hygiene certification and good personal hygiene standards
  • Qualifications in catering or related field
