Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Lead Occupational Therapist to join our Neurosciences team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for supporting the team in managing a caseload of patients with complex needs, working closely with the existing Band 7 Team Lead and Band 8A Clinical Specialist.

Main Duties

  • Support the team in managing a caseload of patients with complex needs
  • Work closely with the existing Band 7 Team Lead and Band 8A Clinical Specialist
  • Provide regular supervision to staff, complete annual appraisals, and support with OT undergraduate students
  • Develop and expand clinical practice within the specialty area
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team

Person Specification

  • BSc in OT/Dip COT
  • HCPC registration
  • Evidence of CPD, including recent postgraduate training relevant to clinical specialty
  • Experience of working in an acute hospital setting at Band 6 or above within the relevant clinical area
  • Experience of team/service development
  • Experience of supporting and supervising junior therapists, student therapists, and assistants
