Senior Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our innovative OT team at St Andrew's Birmingham division.
As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for leading the therapy provided on the ward, supervising junior staff, and developing others. You will also be expected to take responsibility for projects as required for service development and to lead and attend activities to enhance your continuing professional development.

Key Responsibilities- Lead the therapy provided on the ward and supervise junior staff
- Develop others and take responsibility for projects as required for service development
- Lead and attend activities to enhance your continuing professional development
- Manage highly complex and sensitive information using well-developed motivational and negotiating skills
- Represent the OT service in a variety of different situations
- Experience working within a secure setting
- Post-registration clinical expertise with a minimum of 3 years
- Post-registration expertise in an adult mental health setting and working with women will be an added advantage
- Evidence of specialist training in the area of practice and ongoing CPD
- Ability to apply and promote OT skills, including carrying out specialised occupational assessments, setting clear occupational goals and facilitating a wide variety of therapeutic interventions
