About the Role:

EG Group is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Transactional Shared Service Division. As an AP Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the accounts for EG Group Corporate Services, ensuring accurate and timely payments. You will be responsible for handling the payment process, maintaining accurate records, and fostering positive relationships with vendors and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and process AP email inbox and ticketing system
  • Maintain the Vendor Master Database
  • Process all non-purchase order and purchase order invoices for payment
  • Gather and verify purchase card statements and process into SAP system
  • Post invoices and credit notes, ensuring accurate coding in the accounting system
  • Reconcile vendor statements to Accounts Payable ledger and resolve queries
  • Manage pre-disbursement controls, direct debit monitoring, and supplier accounts
  • Prepare monthly supplier statements and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Communicate with suppliers and vendors to resolve invoices and payments
  • Release payment files and manual ad hoc payments
  • Liaise with the finance team and AP team leads to provide regular updates

Requirements:

  • Finance experience in an Accounts Payable role, preferably in a Shared Services environment
  • Excellent customer relationship and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft software
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High standard of communicative and written skills
  • Ability to meet demanding deadlines
  • Able to adapt communication style depending on the audience and information
