About the Role:

EG Group is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Transactional Finance Team. As an AP Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the accounts for EG Group Corporate Services, ensuring accurate and timely payments. Your attention to detail and analytical skills will be essential in identifying and resolving issues related to payments and accounts payable matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage the AP email inbox and ticketing system
  • Maintain the Vendor Master Database
  • Process invoices for payment, including non-purchase order and purchase order invoices
  • Gather and verify purchase card statements and process them into the SAP system
  • Post invoices and credit notes, ensuring accurate coding in the accounting system
  • Reconcile vendor statements to the Accounts Payable ledger and resolve any queries
  • Perform pre-disbursement controls and direct debit monitoring
  • Prepare monthly supplier statements and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Proactively manage supplier accounts and monitor ageing
  • Communicate with suppliers and vendors to resolve invoices, payments, or other queries
  • Release payment files and manual ad hoc payments
  • Liaise with the finance team and AP team leads to provide regular updates on daily, weekly, and monthly activities

Requirements:

  • Finance experience in an Accounts Payable role, preferably in a Shared Services environment
  • Excellent customer relationship and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft software
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High standard of communicative and written skills
  • Ability to meet demanding deadlines
  • Able to adapt style of communication depending on the audience and the nature of the information being communicated
