Accounts Payable Specialist

About the Role
EG Group is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Transactional Shared Service Division. As an AP Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the financial operations of the business by handling the payment process, maintaining accurate records, and fostering positive relationships with vendors and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage the AP email inbox and ticketing system
- Maintain the Vendor Master Database and process all non-purchase order and purchase order invoices for payment
- Gather and verify purchase card statements and process them into the SAP system
- Post invoices and credit notes, ensuring accurate coding in the accounting system
- Reconcile vendor statements to the Accounts Payable ledger and resolve any queries
- Manage pre-disbursement controls, direct debit monitoring, and supplier accounts
- Prepare monthly supplier statements and balance sheet reconciliations
- Communicate with suppliers and vendors to resolve invoices, payments, or other queries
- Release payment files and perform manual ad-hoc payments
- Liaise with the finance team and AP team leads to provide regular updates on daily, weekly, and monthly activities
Requirements
- Finance experience in an Accounts Payable role, preferably in a Shared Services environment
- Excellent customer relationship and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft software
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- High standard of communicative and written skills
- Ability to meet demanding deadlines
- Able to adapt style of communication depending on the audience and the nature of the information being communicated
