About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Researcher to join our Casualty Reduction Enforcement Support Team (CREST) at Derbyshire Constabulary. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering casualty reduction initiatives and supporting our efforts to keep Derbyshire's roads safe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and update databases to provide relevant road safety speeding data.
  • Conduct research, analysis, and interpretation of data to identify collision statistics and speeding trends, supporting our casualty reduction priorities and strategies.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of camera and enforcement interventions to ensure annual casualty reduction targets are met and to identify sites for enforcement activities producing the most effective casualty reductions.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in data and statistical analysis, report writing, and making recommendations to colleagues and senior managers.
  • Advanced experience in the interrogation of databases, producing statistical reports and charts, and modifying and developing data packages using Excel spreadsheets.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
