Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Support Worker to join our team at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our patients and their families.

About the Role

As a Clinical Support Worker, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide a high standard of patient care. Your responsibilities will include communicating with patients, washing and dressing patients, taking physiological observations, and serving meals and assisting with feeding patients.

You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge through our apprenticeship program, which includes a 16-month training contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience and develop a career in healthcare.

Person Specification
  • Essential qualifications: minimum level 1 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
  • Desirable qualifications: basic education GCSE Grades A-C or equivalent in English and Maths
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting is desirable
  • Ability to communicate in a variety of settings with patients of varying levels of understanding
  • Self-motivated and flexible with a willingness to participate in team work
  • Basic IT skills and ability to use keyboard or willingness to develop
