About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Clinical Support Worker to join our team at the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre. As a Clinical Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our nursing staff in delivering exceptional care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families to ensure their needs are met
  • Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide patient care and support
  • Assist with washing, dressing, and feeding patients
  • Take patients' physiological observations and report any concerns to the nursing team
  • Make beds and clean bed areas to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Serve meals and assist with feeding patients
  • Engage with patients through conversation and listening to their concerns
Person Specification

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A minimum level 1 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
  • Basic education GCSE Grades A-C or equivalent in English and Maths
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting (desirable)
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a variety of settings
  • Self-motivation and flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic IT skills and willingness to develop
