Senior Clinical Scientist - Nuclear Medicine at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust

We are seeking a Senior Clinical Scientist specializing in Nuclear Medicine who shares our commitment to delivering outstanding care and services to our patients. Our nuclear medicine department provides essential diagnostic assessments and radionuclide therapies for both oncology and non-oncology patients. This role encompasses the leadership of the molecular radionuclide therapy service, emphasizing imaging techniques and dosimetry analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver expert physics support to nuclear medicine operations
  • Drive innovations in nuclear medicine imaging technologies
  • Enhance the clinical services provided
  • Engage in dose calculation and risk evaluation
  • Support the maintenance of departmental quality benchmarks
  • Mentor students and junior personnel
  • Participate in audit, research, and development initiatives

Qualifications:
  • BSc Honours degree in Physics or Medical Physics
  • Master's degree in Medical Physics or a related discipline
  • HCPC Registered Clinical Scientist
  • RPA2000 Certified Medical Physics Expert in Nuclear Medicine
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development
  • Experience with ionizing radiation and collaborative multidisciplinary teams
  • Expertise in diagnostic Nuclear Medicine and PET imaging
  • Strong knowledge of radiation safety and regulatory compliance
