Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Nurse Manager to lead our Oncology Ward team at Circle Health Group. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and management of the ward, driving excellence in patient care, and promoting a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Provide clinical leadership and management of the Oncology Ward team
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient care and outcomes
    • Lead and manage the ward's resources, including staff, budget, and equipment
  • Clinical Governance
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote safe and effective patient care
    • Monitor and evaluate the quality of patient care and make recommendations for improvement
  • Staff Development and Engagement
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge
    • Provide coaching and mentoring to staff to promote career development and growth
    • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes staff engagement and well-being
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to promote seamless care
    • Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure effective care coordination and patient flow
    • Represent the ward and Circle Health Group at local and national levels
    Requirements
    • Education and Experience
      • Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration
      • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior nursing role, preferably in an acute healthcare setting
      • Proven track record of leadership and management experience
    • Skills and Qualities
      • Strong clinical and leadership skills
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
      • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
      • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
