Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Support Worker to join our team at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and their families.

About the Role

As a Clinical Support Worker, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide a high standard of patient care. Your responsibilities will include communicating with patients, washing and dressing patients, taking physiological observations, and serving meals and assisting with feeding patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families
  • Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide patient care
  • Perform tasks such as washing and dressing patients, taking physiological observations, and serving meals
  • Assist with feeding patients and provide emotional support
Person Specification

We are looking for a motivated and caring individual who is able to work as part of a team. You will need to have a minimum level 1 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy and be willing to undertake an apprenticeship programme. Previous experience in a healthcare setting is desirable, but not essential.
