Job Overview

A leading worldwide specialist in the development, manufacture and supply of metalworking fluids seeks a talented Sales Engineer to manage sales and marketing activities in the North UK region.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers and distributors, planning and budgeting sales activities, and identifying new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organise and structure sales activities, including regular visits to main customers and distributors.
  • Manage global and European accounts, develop growth strategies, and negotiate pricing agreements.
  • Create new business opportunities, identify new markets for products and services, and update the CRM database with market trends and competitive information.
  • Implement sales and marketing programs, manage territory, and provide local technical support to customers and distributors.
Requirements
  • Degree in Chemical or Technical Engineering, with commercial experience in the higher value B2B consumable goods industry.
  • Experience in Metal Working/Metal Working Fluids industry/Industrial Lubricants.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to build relationships, strong communication, selling, and presentation skills, and analytical thinking.
  • Flexible mind, able to cope with different cultures, and a network of contacts within the (metalworking) industry.
