Job Title: Global Operations Associate

The opportunity:

At Flexport, we're revolutionizing the way goods move across borders. As a Global Operations Associate, you'll play a critical role in making our mission a reality. You'll work closely with our account management and customs teams, subcontractors, carriers, terminals, and trucking providers to ensure seamless logistics operations.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute end-to-end movement of global shipments within a regional network, including ocean less than container load (LCL) and ocean import shipments.
  • Drive a first-class customer experience by obsessing over quality and on-time performance.
  • Work closely with peers and supervisors to problem-solve and ensure smooth operations at origin and destination.
  • Seamlessly coordinate day-to-day logistics operations with internal and external partners.
  • Execute clients' standard operating procedures (SOP) and ensure your work satisfies internal KPIs and SLAs.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS/HBO/MBO Degree
  • 2+ years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, ocean carrier operations, or consulting (ocean freight knowledge is a plus)
  • Valid visa/work permit to work in the UK
  • Fluent in English
  • Able to adapt to new technology and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective time management and attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively seek and receive feedback
  • Effective communication both verbally and in writing
  • Teamwork and relationship building
  • Orientation towards working smarter and adopting best practices and standardization
  • Problem-solving capabilities
  • A "compliance first" attitude to keep our regulators happy
