About the Role


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced culinary professional to join our team as an Executive Culinary Supervisor. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional food service experiences and has a strong background in restaurant management.


Job Summary


The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our food service unit, ensuring that all aspects of the business meet the high standards required by Compass Group UK & Ireland. This includes managing a team of chefs and kitchen staff, maintaining excellent customer satisfaction, and implementing effective cost controls.


Main Responsibilities:



  • To manage and supervise the kitchen team, providing coaching and development opportunities to ensure excellent performance and career growth
  • To develop and implement menus that meet the needs of our customers, incorporating seasonal ingredients and special dietary requirements
  • To maintain accurate inventory records and control stock levels, minimizing waste and optimizing profitability
  • To work closely with suppliers to negotiate prices and secure the best deals on food and equipment
  • To maintain a safe and hygienic working environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations

Requirements


To be successful in this role, you will need to have:



  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a senior culinary role, preferably in a similar environment
  • An excellent understanding of food hygiene and health and safety procedures
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • A creative approach to menu development, with knowledge of current trends and ingredients
  • Excellent financial acumen, with the ability to analyze costs and optimize profitability
