About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Service Manager to lead our Domestic Abuse Services team at Hestia Housing Support. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality services to our clients and contributing to our mission of empowering individuals to rebuild their lives and achieve independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Create and lead a high-performing team to achieve individual and service outcomes, ensuring that all team members are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional services.
  • Service Development: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and policy, including GDPR, Safeguarding Adults and Children, Health and Safety, Care Act, and Hestia policies and procedures. Ensure that the service adheres to these standards and that all team members are aware of their responsibilities.
  • Communication and Relationship Building: Develop effective relationships with teams, individuals, and service users, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and engaged in the service delivery process.
  • Safeguarding and Risk Management: Ensure that the service and all team members understand and adhere to Hestia's safeguarding procedures and legislation, taking proactive steps to mitigate risks and ensure a safe environment for all.
  • Service Performance and Data Management: Analyze and interpret service performance data, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance service delivery and outcomes.
  • Business Planning and Budgeting: Lead the development and implementation of the service's annual business plans, ensuring that all team members are aware of their roles and responsibilities in achieving service objectives.
  • Recruitment and Talent Management: Manage the recruitment, induction, supervision, appraisal, training, and disciplinary processes for all team members, ensuring that the service has the necessary skills and expertise to deliver high-quality services.
  • Co-Production and Partnership Working: Ensure that the service is delivered in partnership with service users, co-producing services that are outcome-based and person-centered.
  • Health and Safety and Property Management: Ensure that the service is delivered in a safe and healthy environment, managing property standards and health and safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Leadership and Management Experience: Proven experience of leading and managing teams in a similar context, with a track record of delivering high-quality services and achieving service outcomes.
  • Knowledge and Understanding: In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and policy, including GDPR, Safeguarding Adults and Children, Health and Safety, Care Act, and Hestia policies and procedures.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop effective relationships with teams, individuals, and service users.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret service performance data and identify areas for improvement.
  • Business Planning and Budgeting: Proven experience of developing and implementing business plans and managing budgets in a similar context.
  • Co-Production and Partnership Working: Experience of co-producing services with service users, with a strong understanding of the principles of co-production and partnership working.
  • Health and Safety and Property Management: Knowledge and understanding of health and safety policies and procedures, with experience of managing property standards in a similar context.
