Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Fostering Service Manager to lead the strategic development and operational management of our fostering services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing foster carer recruitment, assessment, supervision, training, and ongoing support for both carers and the children and young people they care for.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve the quality of our fostering services.
  • Lead the recruitment, assessment, and supervision of foster carers, ensuring they meet the required standards.
  • Provide ongoing support and training to foster carers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless service delivery and excellent outcomes for children and young people.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our fostering services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a relevant position, with at least 1 year requiring the supervision and management of staff.
  • Proven experience with Ofsted and other regulatory bodies.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
