Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Psychological Therapist to join our team at Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our psychotherapy service, you will be responsible for providing assessment and psychological therapy to clients with complex mental health needs, including those with a history of trauma.

The successful candidate will have a postgraduate diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and appropriate professional registration. They will also have a minimum of 3 years' post-qualification NHS experience of working as a psychological therapist with adult clients with complex psychological problems.

Main Duties
  • Provide assessment and psychological therapy to clients with complex mental health needs
  • Develop collaborative working practices with other local teams
  • Provide supervision and consultation to relevant adult mental health services
  • Participate in service development and improvement initiatives

Person Specification

The successful candidate will have:

  • A postgraduate diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
  • Appropriate professional registration
  • Minimum 3 years' post-qualification NHS experience of working as a psychological therapist with adult clients with complex psychological problems

Desirable criteria include additional psychotherapy qualifications, relevant supervision qualifications, and experience of providing teaching and training.
