Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Occupational Therapist to join our Integrated Community Stroke Rehabilitation Service (ICSRS) team at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust.
Key Responsibilities- Provide early rehabilitation for stroke patients, setting goals and treatment plans to be followed by the interdisciplinary team.
- Promote a seamless transition from the acute hospital to the home environment, while continuing to work towards patients' rehabilitation goals in their own home or normal place of residence.
- Develop and sustain good working relationships with colleagues and peers, demonstrating an empathetic approach and being responsive to patients' needs.
- Manage workload and work unsupervised, adapting to changing circumstances and priorities.
- Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office solutions and Electronic Patient Record (EPR) systems.
- Current driving license and use of car for work.
- Clinical Educator course.
- Relevant stroke training.
- NHS experience, preferably in an acute/community setting as a qualified therapist.
- Experience working in the community, with clinical experience and competence in Stroke.
