Job Title: Senior Children's Support Worker - Port Talbot

We are seeking an experienced and committed individual to join our team as a Senior Children's Support Worker in Port Talbot. As a Senior Children's Support Worker, you will be responsible for supporting young people between the ages of 8-18 years old with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) in a trauma-informed, outcome-focused care environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting young people in their daily lives, including education, leisure activities, and personal development.
  • Working closely with the management team to ensure the quality of care meets expected standards.
  • Managing staff teams and budgets to ensure the smooth operation of the homes.
  • Developing and maintaining good working relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's lives.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Children's Support Worker or Team Leader in a similar social care setting.
  • Level 3 NVQ in Children and Young People or equivalent.
  • Full UK manual driving licence, due to the nature of the role, you may be required to transport the young people.
