Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Administration Team Coordinator to join our Place Department team at South Gloucestershire Council.

The successful candidate will provide efficient and responsive administration support to the team, ensuring that all departments ordering and invoice processes are delivered in a timely and efficient manner.

The salary for this role is £25,500 - £28,300 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Acting as the main point of contact for customers, responding to enquiries and information requests in a professional and effective manner.
  • Undertaking daily administration tasks, including raising invoices, purchase orders, and maintaining budgetary control records.
  • Collections of information, maintenance of accurate records, preparation of documents, and other materials using established formats, software, and procedures.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of three GCSE passes at grade C (grade 4) including English and maths, or equivalent qualification, or relevant experience in a similar administration role.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to interact effectively and efficiently with colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • Good knowledge of IT and experience of different Office packages, such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Good literacy skills, including attention to detail, and confident in writing letters and providing information for reports.
