The Role:

The Audit Manager is a critical leadership position within our Asset Servicing Audit Team. Reporting directly to an Associate Director, this role is responsible for planning and executing audits, leading teams, and coaching junior members. The successful candidate will foster a collaborative environment that encourages employee participation, teamwork, and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead two or more audits simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Conduct and document complex and high-risk audits across the corporation, demonstrating professional skepticism and a commitment to improvement.
  • Finalize planning documents and assist in the evolution of audit plans by challenging scope and scoping audit projects.
  • Apply analytical skills to review information, assess audit results, and evaluate control adequacy.
  • Lead a team of one or more staff in executing audits, ensuring departmental standards are met.
  • Work closely with the Audit Team Leader/Manager to develop audit planning, scoping, and fieldwork execution strategies.
  • Communicate audit status to business unit and Audit Services management, interacting with committees and management as needed.
  • Compile findings and recommendations for status updates, memos, and audit reports.
  • Coordinate with other audit teams to ensure timely evaluations of related areas and key audit coverage.
  • Provide training, coaching, and auditing expertise to the audit team.
  • Operate independently, with in-depth knowledge of business unit/function.
  • Carry out activities that are large in scope, cross-functional, and technically difficult.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of audit procedures and standards, typically obtained through related work experience and a four-year degree program.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Audit Services' Internal Audit Charter, Policy, and Methodology, adhering to all applicable requirements.
  • Knowledge of corporate policies and procedures related to auditing/accounting standards and analytical skills to prepare audits.
  • Knowledge of operations, functions, and objectives of interfacing areas to properly audit operations, services, systems, workflow, and operational impact.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change.
