Senior Support Worker - Children's Home

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team at a 2-bedded service in Northampton. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising Support Workers and ensuring the well-being of children and young people with mental health issues and emotional and behavioural disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and support Support Workers to deliver high-quality care and support to young people
  • Develop and implement activities to promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of young people
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a safe and supportive living environment
  • Provide coaching and guidance to Support Workers to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years' experience in residential childcare
  • QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Ability to work on a rota basis and undertake sleep-in duties
  • Full UK driving licence
