Support Worker

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at People Plus Independent Living Services. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our service users, enabling them to live independently and safely in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and support to service users, including assistance with daily living tasks, medication management, and mobility.
- Support service users with their daily routines, including meal preparation, household chores, and social activities.
- Assist service users with their personal and emotional needs, including providing emotional support and companionship.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the team to ensure seamless care and support.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, as required.
Working Hours:
This is a part-time position, working 27.5 hours per week, split between 2 or 3 staff members. The working hours will be Monday to Sunday, with alternate weekends and a 2-week rolling rota.
Benefits:
- Competitive hourly rate of £11.44.
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check will be required, but this will be paid for by the local authority.
- 5.6 weeks paid annual leave (pro-rata).
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a compassionate and empathetic individual, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
