Operational Excellence Manager for Maternity and Neonatology Services

The NHS is seeking a highly skilled Operational Excellence Manager to join the Maternity and Neonatology Directorate. This role will be responsible for supporting the Deputy General Manager and Business Managers in the operational and business management of the directorate.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of patients and staff within the NHS. The successful candidate will have experience of operational management, with a proven track record of delivering excellent patient outcomes and experiences.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Deputy General Manager and Business Managers in the development and implementation of plans for service improvement.
  • Assist in the operational and business management of the directorate, including planning capacity and arranging short and long-term cover.
  • Oversee the Information Technology needs of the services, ensuring data is captured, analysed, and coded in a timely manner.
  • Ensure high standards of patient record management and compliance.
Requirements
  • Degree in a relevant field, such as healthcare or business administration.
  • Experience of operational management, preferably in the NHS.
  • Proven track record of delivering excellent patient outcomes and experiences.
  • Ability to analyse performance data to identify areas for improvement.
  • PC literate with experience of spreadsheets and data manipulation.
