Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage public rights of way, including footpaths, bridleways, and byways
  • Develop and implement highway infrastructure projects, including road maintenance and construction
  • Work with stakeholders, including developers, landowners, and the public, to resolve issues related to public rights of way and highway infrastructure
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders on public rights of way and highway infrastructure matters
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to public rights of way and highway infrastructure

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in a related field, such as planning, highways, or public rights of way
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering results
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies, including the Highways Act 1980 and the Town and Country Planning Act 1990
