Finance and Operations Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our Board of Trustees as a Finance and Operations Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our financial oversight, setting up financial controls and processes, and overseeing our treasurer.

Our charity is committed to supporting children and young people's wellbeing, and we are looking for a trustee with specific skill sets to help us achieve our goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and governance, and be able to bring their expertise to our Board.

We are looking for a trustee who can take ownership of their areas related to the charity, and work collaboratively with our CEO and other Board members to achieve our objectives. The successful candidate will be able to contribute to the development of our 5-year plan, and help us to grow our Board to around nine members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead our financial oversight and set up financial controls and processes
  • Oversee our treasurer and ensure that our financial affairs are properly managed
  • Contribute to the development of our 5-year plan and help us to achieve our objectives
  • Work collaboratively with our CEO and other Board members to achieve our goals

Requirements:

  • Strong background in finance and governance
  • Experience of working with Boards of Trustees
  • Ability to take ownership of areas related to the charity
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
