Rotational Senior Pharmacist Position

Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking a motivated and dynamic pharmacist to join our award-winning department as part of our rotational band 7 pharmacist programme. The programme includes 9-month rotations across four different sites, providing a unique opportunity to gain diverse experience and develop clinical skills.
Main DutiesThe post holder will work on the wards, delivering quality care to patients through efficient medicines optimisation. This will involve assessing patients' own medications, medicine reconciliation, original pack dispensing at ward level, counselling patients about their medications, and coordinating discharge medication. The post holder will work with the ward-based team to continually develop the service, maintaining high standards and achieving best practice to meet patient needs.

Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will have post-registration experience in an acute hospital-based clinical post, with experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide patient care. They will also have experience of undertaking research, quality improvement, or audit projects, and have been involved in bringing about change to a service or department. Essential criteria include excellent interpersonal skills, ability to complete documentation accurately, and IT literacy.
