We welcome both experienced and newly qualified pharmacists to become part of our forward-thinking team of Band 6 pharmacists. This role offers the chance to rotate through various pharmacy departments and specialties within the Trust, allowing you to acquire foundational knowledge in hospital pharmacy practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering pharmaceutical care both within the pharmacy and on hospital wards.
  • Assisting the department with out-of-hours responsibilities, including weekends, late shifts, and on-call duties.
  • Achieving Band 6 objectives during each rotation.
  • Participating in and supporting dedicated Band 6 training sessions.
  • Completing the accredited North Central London Diploma, funded by the Trust.

Additionally, we provide comprehensive cancer diagnosis and treatment services, with the Helen Rollason Cancer Support Centre located on-site to support the wellbeing of cancer patients.

We also deliver community services, including a dedicated 0-19 service for children and young people, ensuring they receive the best possible start in life. This includes health visitors and school nurses who implement the national Healthy Child Programme, a structured framework designed to support the health and wellbeing of children and families from early childhood through adolescence. The 0-19 service aims to enhance pathways and partnerships with hospital services, delivering outstanding care for children and families.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Requirements

  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council or equivalent by the start date.
  • MRPharm or equivalent qualification.

Knowledge and Skills

Essential Competencies

  • Proficient in computer usage.
  • Solid understanding of health and safety regulations in the workplace.

Experience

Essential Background

  • Relevant experience in hospital pharmacy.
  • Experience in training and developing junior staff.
  • Ability to interact effectively with the public, senior clinicians, and other healthcare personnel.
  • Recent experience in clinical pharmacy or ward pharmacy.
  • Project management experience.
