About the Role

iMultiply Resourcing Ltd is working in partnership with a leading independent Accountancy Firm to recruit an experienced Audit/Accounts Senior.

The Practice

A well-established and highly respected Accountancy Firm based in the heart of the North East of Scotland. The Practice has long-standing relationships with a significant number of owner-managed businesses across the region. The Firm has a strong reputation for being an excellent employer.

The Role

The role can be tailored to meet the candidate's needs, offering flexibility in the Firm's portfolio to allow for a full audit, full accounts, or hybrid role. The position offers strong progression potential and the opportunity to join a well-regarded employer. The Firm pays overtime and offers a good work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting the senior management team to deliver audit and accounting services
  • Responsible for the planning, implementation, and completion of a variety of audit clients and will be required to support other members of the audit team
  • Visiting client sites to oversee the Audit, including supporting junior team members and being responsible for complex file areas
  • Communicating effectively with both junior members of the team and management, ensuring management receive appropriate information relevant to the audit
  • Planning and completing audit assignments and ensuring that all audits have the appropriate and sufficient documentation to support the opinion and to document all conclusions reached
  • Preparing statutory financial statements from client data
  • Assisting with the development of more junior members within the team and ensuring workload on audit is evenly distributed where appropriate to junior members of the team
  • Managing and developing client relationships
  • Completing all administration in a timely manner (including timesheets and fees) and to a high standard
  • Ensuring compliance with all internal and external regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working in an Accountancy Firm
  • ACCA/ICAS qualification - part-qualified will be considered
  • A dynamic and proactive mindset
