Autism Education Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate support specialist to work with students who require additional assistance in a primary school setting. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the academic and personal development of students with special educational needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in the classroom, ensuring they have access to the same opportunities as their peers.
- Collaborate with class teachers to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs), tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment, fostering a sense of belonging among all students.
- Support students with their academic and personal development, helping them to build confidence and achieve their full potential.
- Work one-on-one or with small groups of students as needed, adapting your approach to meet the diverse needs of each child.
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure seamless support for students.
Requirements:
- GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths.
- Previous experience working with children or individuals with SEN, demonstrating a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable students.
- A deep understanding of SEN strategies and techniques, including knowledge of autism, ADHD, and other specific areas.
Estimated Salary: £27,500 per annum, depending on experience.
