London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking an experienced paediatric diabetes nurse to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in caring for children and young people with diabetes, with excellent communication and clinical skills.

The role requires a flexible and forward-thinking individual who can work as part of a small friendly and supportive team delivering specialist nursing care to a diverse caseload. The focus will be on delivering an 'out of hospital' agenda across community-based pathways to reduce hospital attendances and length of stay.

The post holder will need to have previous experience of delivering care for children and young people with diabetes, with a commitment to education to ensure the service remains current in developments in the care and management of children and young people with Diabetes.

About the Role

This is a Band 6 role requiring an experienced, dynamic nurse with diabetic knowledge and understanding. You will be working across LNWH NHS Trust, delivering specialist nursing care to a diverse caseload.

Key Responsibilities
  • To deliver high-quality care to children and young people with diabetes, working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • To develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of patients, ensuring seamless delivery of services across the health system.
  • To participate in education and training activities to maintain current knowledge and best practices in diabetes care.

We offer a competitive salary of £43,141 - £72,619 per annum, depending on experience. We also provide a range of benefits including pension scheme, annual leave, and opportunities for professional development.
