About the UCL Ear Institute

As a world-class research institution, we offer a collaborative environment within the Faculty of Brain Sciences and are embedded within UCL's neuroscience community. We host state-of-the-art facilities for cell and molecular biology, microscopy, neurophysiology, and behaviour, providing researchers with access to cutting-edge equipment.

Our institute delivers world-class teaching, training the next generation of auditory scientists. We offer PhD programmes in a wide range of basic and clinical disciplines, as well as Master's-level programmes in audiology, otolaryngology, and audiovestibular research.

We have a strong track record of academic excellence, ranking 1st in England for 'Deafness and Hearing' and 'Audiology and Speech & Language Pathology'. Our staff members contribute to neuroscience programs across UCL and provide support to ensure our fellows can successfully establish their research groups.

Sponsorship Opportunities

We sponsor early career researchers for external fellowships that will enable them to establish an independent research group.
