Our Sales Team

We have enjoyed year-on-year growth over the last 20 years with ambitious growth plans over the next 5 years. We have an exciting opportunity within the sales team based in the Midlands for a Business Development Manager to join our team.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a great knowledge and passion for food, great people skills, and be up for a challenge. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for growing and maintaining some already well-established relationships in and around the Midlands of the UK in addition to new business generation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate as the key contact for accounts within your assigned area/region.
  • Continuously look to maximise sales.
  • Ensure allocated accounts run within the expected levels of margin.
  • Be reactive to account issues ensuring you seek satisfactory resolution for customers.
  • Targeted and strategic new business prospecting.
  • Support customers with planning and development.
  • New Product presentation and tasting.
  • Host regular and structured depot and supplier visits with customers.

About You

  • Previous sales experience within a similar FMCG business, preferably within the food sector.
  • Hospitality experience.
  • Customer care experience.
  • A good understanding of supply chain.
  • Strong IT literacy.
