About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Wildlife Care Specialist to join our Safari Team at Longleat. As a key member of our animal care team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of animal welfare and ensuring the smooth operation of our park.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out daily animal husbandry routines, including feeding, cleaning, and monitoring animal health.
  • Participate in environmental enrichment programs to stimulate animal behavior and promote natural behavior.
  • Engage with guests and provide exceptional customer service, promoting a positive experience for all visitors.
  • Collaborate with the Lead Keeper and team managers to ensure the highest standards of animal care and park operations.
  • Contribute to educational and VIP initiatives, promoting conservation and wildlife awareness.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in animal care and husbandry, with a minimum of 18 months experience with exotic animals or domestic livestock.
  • Full UK driving license and ability to work a varied shift pattern, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and guests.
  • GCSEs or equivalent in a relevant subject, such as biology or zoology.
