Wildlife Care Specialist

At Longleat, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Animal Keeper to join our Safari Team. As a key member of our animal care team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of animal welfare and ensuring the smooth operation of our park.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out animal husbandry routines, environmental enrichment, and animal observations.
- Report and advise on husbandry and safety matters to lead keepers and team managers.
- Participate in educational and VIP initiatives.
- Ensure Health and Safety standards and administration is adhered to by following risk assessments and standard operating procedures.
- Engage guests during the course of duties in line with the culture of exceptional customer service.
About You:
- You must have a full UK driving licence to apply for this position.
- You will have proven evidence of your interest and commitment to zoo and wildlife husbandry, having gained at least 18 months experience with exotic animals or domestic livestock.
- You will have gained at least 5 GCSE's or equivalent.
- You will have excellent communication skills allowing you to easily liaise with guests and colleagues across a variety of levels.
- Due to the health and safety requirements of this role, you must be aged 18 or over to apply.
