Animal Care Specialist

We are seeking experienced and committed Animal Keepers to join our Safari Team at Longleat, a renowned wildlife park in the UK.
The successful candidate will have a passion for animal care and welfare, with a proven track record of working with exotic animals or domestic livestock. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of animal husbandry, ensuring the safety and well-being of both our guests and animals.
You will work closely with our Lead Keeper and team managers to report on husbandry and safety matters, participate in educational initiatives, and engage with our guests to deliver exceptional customer service.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining animal houses and enclosures to the highest standard of excellence
- Carrying out daily husbandry routines, environmental enrichment, and animal observations
- Reporting and advising on husbandry and safety matters to lead keepers and team managers
- Participating in educational and VIP initiatives
- Ensuring Health and Safety standards and administration is adhered to by following risk assessments and standard operating procedures
- Engaging guests during course of duties in line with culture of exceptional customer service
To be considered for this role, you must have a full UK driving licence, at least 18 months experience working with exotic animals or domestic livestock, and excellent communication skills. You must also be aged 18 or over.
