Project Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated PhD researcher to join our team at the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute to work on a project entitled "Immune Hedgehog signalling dynamics in health and disease". The project aims to shed light on the dynamics of Hedgehog signalling in immune cells using cutting-edge techniques such as chromobody technology, bespoke mouse models, and proximity labelling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on immune Hedgehog signalling dynamics using various techniques
  • Work with murine and human immune cells to gain fundamental mechanistic insight
  • Contribute to the development of novel therapeutic entry points into cancer, infection, and autoimmunity

Requirements

  • Relevant degree in a field such as immunology, molecular biology, or a related field
  • Strong research experience, preferably in a laboratory setting
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Funding and Benefits

This four-year studentship is fully funded by the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute, including full University fees and a stipend of £21,000 per annum.
