Commercial Sales Support Specialist

Role Overview
To support the commercial sales function in securing projects by analyzing drawings, bills of quantities, and other project documentation to quickly respond to enquiries and ensure accurate quotations are issued to meet customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand the full modular commercial product range, including their limitations and applications.
- Provide accurate costs for products and installation works.
- Raise and issue clear and detailed quotations.
- Keep the company's CRM system up to date with customer information, project updates, and correspondence.
- Offer technical support over the phone, by email, and in person as required.
- Provide training and information on products when needed.
- Ensure the company secures orders by communicating the features and benefits of products and services to new and existing contacts.
- Work closely with the sales and project office team to ensure a world-class service is offered.
- Develop clear and effective written proposals and quotations for necessary contacts.
- Have strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness to maximize profits for each project secured.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Strong analytical skills and logical thinking.
- Ability to quickly pick up technical information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Analytically minded, including financial analysis.
- A team player, organized, and methodical.
- Helpful, empathetic, and diligent.
- GCSE C and above in Maths and English.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
- Previous estimating experience.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Good understanding of building and construction.
- Commercially aware of the construction industry.
- Able to undertake project management.
- Knowledge of CAD.
- Possible main contractor background.
- Some previous experience in an estimating role.
