Network Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Manager to join our team at Commercial, a leading provider of managed IT services and business solutions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the firm's IT operations, including managing and supporting our core IT infrastructure, services, and data. This will involve working closely with key stakeholders and third-party resolver groups to ensure seamless IT service delivery and support.

The key responsibilities of this role will be:

  • To be accountable for the primary management and support of the firm's core IT infrastructure, services, and data within defined contractual SLAs.
  • To deliver high-quality, reliable, secure, and performant IT services to the firm.
  • To manage an onsite IT technician, including coaching, mentoring, development, and all necessary HR processes and procedures.
  • To ensure adherence to policies, processes, procedures, and best practice throughout the delivery of IT services.
  • To create, assess, and present relevant management information (MI) and reports that provide transparency, service insights, and facilitate service improvement and investment planning.
  • To maintain and support information security standards aligned to ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus and industry best practice.
  • The successful candidate will have proven experience of leading and developing IT support services, demonstrating exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience of working within a legal or professional services environment would be advantageous.
  • This role requires line management of an on-site IT team.
  • Knowledge of legal applications such as SOS, BigHand, LaserForms, or equivalent would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience with co-creating an IT strategy would also be advantageous.
  • Involvement in customer-facing hands-on support, maintenance, and installation, ideally with exposure to the technologies listed below, would be beneficial:
    • Azure (including configuration and management)
    • Windows Virtual Desktop
    • Microsoft 365 (including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Intune)
    • Enterprise IT infrastructure
    • Windows Operating Systems (Domain Controllers, File Servers, SQL)
    • Networking (Switching, Routing, Firewalls)
    • Security Solutions (Anti-Virus, Email Filtering, Web Filtering)
