Empathetic Support Coordinator for Vulnerable Children

Barnardo's, a renowned charity dedicated to supporting vulnerable children, seeks an empathetic and compassionate individual to fill the role of Family Support Worker.
This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of families affected by life-limiting conditions. As a Family Support Worker, you will provide emotional support, practical assistance, and advocacy to empower children and their families to cope with challenges and changes along the palliative care pathway.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling them to work effectively with children, young people, and families from diverse backgrounds. A strong understanding of safeguarding principles and knowledge of factors impacting vulnerable children are essential for this role.
In addition to your professional experience, you will have the ability to listen actively, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Your awareness of the complexities surrounding life-limiting conditions and the impact on families will be invaluable in providing holistic support.
A Rewarding Career OpportunityWe offer a competitive salary range of £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
