We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced LAW FIRM SECRETARY to join our team in Belfast. As a Law Firm Secretary, you will have the opportunity to work with a reputable and established law firm, assisting fee earners in preparing legal documents and managing case files.
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated individual who is knowledgeable in family and matrimonial law, possessing excellent organisational skills, and committed to delivering exceptional service. Key responsibilities include:
- Legal Support: Assist fee earners in preparing legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings related to family and matrimonial cases such as divorce, child custody, adoption, and domestic violence.
- Case Management: Manage case files, maintain accurate records, and ensure deadlines are met. Conduct legal research, gather relevant information, and assist in case preparation.
- Client Interaction: Communicate professionally and empathetically with clients, providing updates, answering inquiries, and guiding them through legal processes.
- Court Filings: Prepare and file legal documents with courts, agencies, and other relevant entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with procedural requirements.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Paralegal/Legal Secretary experience essential
- Proven experience specialising in family and matrimonial law
- Proficiency in legal research, drafting legal documents, and case management software
- Excellent communication, organisational, and multitasking skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
