Job Title:

Healthcare Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Substance Misuse Practitioner to join our team at HMP Nottingham. As part of the Offender Health Care Group, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working towards harm reduction and health promotion/recovery agendas.

The successful candidate will have experience of community-related Substance Misuse multi-disciplinary work, as well as excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills.

About the Team:

You will be part of a dynamic team delivering high-quality patient care, working to harm reduction and health promotion/recovery agendas. Our team provides healthcare to individuals with complex needs, giving you the chance to make a real difference.

We are committed to working in partnership with prisons, national probation services, other healthcare providers, and our criminal justice system partners to improve health, support justice, and reduce re-offending behaviour.

Requirements:
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development in relation to substance misuse.
  • Experience of working with patients presenting with challenging behaviours.
Contractual Requirements:

This role requires flexibility to meet service needs, including some unsociable hours.

Salary:

£45,000 - £55,000 per annum
