Adolescent Social Work Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced social worker to join our Integrated Adolescent Service in Kent County Council. As an Adolescent Senior Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing intensive social work support to adolescents and their families to manage complex situations, including extra-familial harm and family conflict.
Key Responsibilities- Building trust with hard-to-reach young people and empowering them to develop effective long-term solutions to manage their family relationships and overcome risks.
- Working with adolescents and their families to identify suitable safe alternatives where it is not safe for them to remain living at home.
- Providing assessment, children in need, child protection, contextual harm, Court work, and rehabilitation home services.
- Developing and implementing personalized development plans with workers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in social work (CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent) and registration with Social Work England.
- Proven experience of working with children and families, particularly those who have experienced adverse life events or trauma.
- An in-depth understanding of Children's social work legislation and a willingness to learn and develop as a practitioner.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with adolescents, their families, and other professionals.
