About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Social Worker to join our Adolescent Service team at Kent County Council. As a Senior Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing intensive social work support to adolescents and their families, managing complex situations and developing effective long-term solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build trust with hard-to-reach young people and empower them to develop effective strategies to manage their family relationships and overcome risks.
  • Work closely with adolescents, their families, and wider networks to identify suitable safe alternatives when it is not safe for young people to remain living at home.
  • Contribute to the development of new initiatives and participate in multi-agency forums to enhance the service.
  • Provide management support to colleagues and act on the Team Manager's behalf in their absence.
About You

We are looking for a qualified Social Worker with a degree in social work (CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent) and registration with Social Work England. You will have proven experience of working with children and families, an interest in working with adolescents who have experienced adverse life events, and a willingness to learn and develop as a practitioner.

You will have excellent opportunities for professional development, managing a varied caseload, and consolidating your skills and knowledge. You will be a role model for good practice, a champion for your area of expertise, and a Practice Assessor for ASYE and student social workers.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary, a generous retention package, a car allowance, and a relocation package and golden hello payment worth up to £11,000 for qualifying applicants. You will also receive a salary in the range of £43,810 - £49,989 dependent on skills and experience.
